Manco a farlo apposta, restiamo alle Hawaii e contnuiamo a parlare di Reebok con le prime immagini della ‘The Pump’ realizzata dal noto sneakershop hawaiano KICKS/HI per il progetto che celebra il 20esimo anniversario dell’iconico modello.
Being surrounded by the Pacific Ocean gives us in Hawaii a different perspective on life. The “Moana” (ocean) has many powerful properties such as healing, birth, death, re-birth/rejuvenation, and energy. It can be calm like a tide pool one minute and a 50 foot tsunami the next. This combination of raw power, unrivaled beauty, and natural life sustaining resources has always been a source of the utmost respect for the ocean in the islands. The Hawaiians have a saying “Mai Huli ‘Oe I Kokua O Ke Kai”, which loosely translates to “never turn your back on the ocean”. Come avrete capito da questa prima parte del comunicato che accompagna la release, KICKS/HI opta per un design che richiama attraverso materiali e colori il proprio “ambiente”, scegliendo così varie tonalità di blu e del bianco per la tomaia, realizzata in materiali eco-friendly.
Come tutte e 20 le ‘The Pump’ del progetto, anche la versione di KICKS/HI sarà lanciata attraverso una limited edition di soli 31 pezzi il prossimo Venerdì 20 Novembre, esclusivamente da presso lo store hawaiano (anche online).
