Attraverso un’approfondita intervista pubblicata stamattina da Hypebeast, il noto store di Amsterdam Patta ha svelato l’ultimo capitolo della serie di collaborazioni che sta realizzando per celebare il suo 5° anniversario. Dopo Stussy, Ontour, Kangol, Keep e Pro-Keds, arriva ora una doppia collaborazione con Converse e Le Le, ovvero il poliedrico progetto musicale del trio fiammingo composto da Rimeroni, Faberyayo e Parra.
Effettivamente, se avete letto la nostra ultima feature, ricordete che l’artista di Amsterdam ci aveva parlato della grande amicizia che lo lega ai ragazzi di Patta, anticipandoci qualcosa su questa triplice joint-venture, che ora vediamo in dettaglio.
Nelle immagini vedete il primo pezzo di cui si compone questa interessante release, ovvero due tra i più classici modelli di Converse, le Pro Leather 76 e Chuck Taylor All Star, customizzate dal team di Patta attraverso materiali e colorazioni originali. Insieme alle scarpe il pacchetto celebrativo comprende una Varsity Jacket dallo stile classico, che riprende la paletta di colori utilizzata sulle due sneakers. Infine, a completare l’opera, c’è un disco di Le Le che presenta due tracce inedite, dal titolo “We Are Lay Lay” e “Slotmachine, realizzate ad hoc per l’occasione.
Il lancio/presentazione di questo ricco progetto avverà il prossimo 5 Settembre da Patta; a seguire, il trio Le Le sarà il 9 Settembre a Parigi (colette e Pigalle) e il 10 a Berlino (WoodWood) per presentare la collaborazione con un esclusivo “Parra Soundsystem & Le Le performance”. L’uscita vera e propria del pacchetto è programmata invece per il 19 Settembre.

As Amsterdam’s favorite sneaker collective turns five, Patta joins with Converse to create a unique anniversary pack rooted in their mutual love for music, friends and classic street style. In true family-fashion, the collaborators teamed up with the quirky Amsterdam-based music trio Le Le to produce a 12-inch record with ”banging inner-city chic” tracks commemorating the anniversary.
With a nod toward street culture and Converse’s basketball history, the anniversary pack features a classic Varsity Jacket along with two of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes: the Chuck Taylor Hi and the Pro Leather 76.
Inspired by the iconic Letterman design, the Varsity jacket comes in burgundy corduroy with a reversible grey quilted fleece lining. The collegiate aesthetic of the jacket is lent to the two shoes in an “opposites attract” manner. The Pro Leather sports a deep burgundy corduroy upper with quilted grey lining while the Chuck is the polar opposite with a quilted suede upper and burgundy corduroy lining. The Chuck is an exclusive 60s vintage makeup with higher rands and a clean midsole without the usual pinstripe creating a more classic look. The anniversary launch also marks the first time this exclusive model airs in the streetwear community.
Rounding out the pack is the 12-inch Le Le record with two new tracks, “We Are Lay Lay” and “Slotmachine.” Inspired by a plethora of music styles – from Disco andElectro to cliché gangster rap – Le Le isn’t limited to just one genre and their unique party-sound fits perfectly to the collaboration. To commemorate the launch of the anniversary pack, Le Le will play two exclusive shows in Paris and Berlin.
